Manufacturing Wages Surge Over 25% Since Pre-Pandemic, With Vast Majority Receiving Healthcare Benefits
In 2022, the average earnings of US manufacturing workers, inclusive of pay and benefits, was $98,846. This figure is 25% higher than it was prior to the pandemic. For all manufacturing employees, average hourly earnings climbed to $33.63 in March 2024, marking a 5.4% increase in comparison to the same period the year before. Additionally, 93% of American manufacturing workers qualified for healthcare benefits in 2023, higher than the 79% average.
